Announcement pane at the top of the page lets tennis admins post announcements for just tennis employees.
Tennis Availability Pane groups students into 3 columns: Out, Modified, and No Restriction. Out and modified show visible explanation (torn achilles, etc.). Students cannot be moved between lanes.
Clicking on a student in the columns opens a modal window with slightly more information (student grade, who set the status, and when). There is a unidirectional link that opens the student’s Tennis Data page from within the SIS (Full Time Academy → Tennis Data → Student)
Individuals of Awareness pane shows students with appointments that day or who may have an injury concern. Injury concerns in this pane do not match those in the modified column of the availability pan ^krxje.
UTR Overview pane shows aggregate stats calculated for every student. There is no ability to view individual stats from here.
==UTR Overview pane shows national ranking of all nationally ranked students. Significant UI/design concerns for this pan ^rhwge.==
Upcoming USTA Tournaments Pane: Clicking a button allows user to pull in data from USTA and/or UTR about upcoming tournaments that have currently enrolled students, with filtering by date and student. Where is this data coming from? How does it match our students (search the whole list for matching names, etc. ^q7m0)?
ITF Junior Rankings Pane Lists which students have a ranking and what that rank is. Clicking a student’s name pulls them up in the Full Time Academy SIS page.
UTR Distribution Pane Displays aggregate states for UTR ratings. Cannot view individual student scores in this pane.
Academy Rating Trends Displays aggregate ratings stats over time and trends, with toggle buttons for organizations and ranking systems.
Biggest Movers Displays which students’ rankings have improved or regressed the most over a given time, with toggle buttons for each ranking system and timeframe.
Rating Leaderboard ranks all internal tennis students according to their rankings, with toggle buttons for ranking system and timelines. Includes trendline and delta over time.
UTR Leaderboard duplicates from above, without trendline and filtering by ranking syst ^ableem
Recent Full Time Academy Results Shows singles match results for all students, sorted by date, over unspecified time range (appears ⇐ 30 days). Columns include date, student, w/l, opponent, opponent UTR, score, and event. Cannot change sort or filter. Where does this data come from?
Recent Tournament Reports: Shows recent tournaments that students have played in. Clicking within the pane takes the user to a redundant Tournaments page. Clicking through again takes the user to the results page of the individual tournament.
Training Group Distribution: Shows how many students are in each group (14U Elite, Elite, Forge next Gen, and Transition to Pros). Using bar graphs to show proportion instead of pie chart. “Manage groups” button lets an admin add a new group or delete existing groups.
Each bar graph is an accordion (this is not obvious in the UI), and expanded accordions show every student in the group. Drop down menu lets an admin move a student to a different group.
Attendance Overview Aggregate stats over the last 30 days (percent attended, total sessions, sessions missed, total students). Either this data is not populating or tennis admins are not filling it ou ^xljtt.
==Match record summary aggregate stats of all students (over what time range?) total wins, losses and win rate. No data is populate ^ftv7d.==
Development Plan Status Shows raw number of students with active 90-day goal plans, goal plans older than 90 days, and no plans. Students without plans are listed and can be clicked on (Opens Full Time Academy SIS page)
Behavior Overview Shows behavior incidents of students, including aggregate stats, but also populates a full list of incidents including the student name and a recent incidents list that includes a student name, date, and description (these are student privacy concerns). This information is viewable in the student's Tennis Data section of the Full Time Academy page. Why are behavior referrals only tracked within tennis? If we track this, should it be globals across Tennis, Academics, and S& ^hsdbC?
UI Concerns
- This page is enormous and the user must scroll great distances from top to bottom
- Can we group these charts together and make them more configurable? What abstractions should be made? Should we have a more tableau-like experience with all data viewable and configurable visualizations and queries?
- Clicking back button after leaving sends you to the top of the page (not where you were before / does not track scroll state)
